So I was on Woods near RUAF extract and got into a fire fight, within 1min of starting. I got 2-3 good hits with an AK-74N and BT ammo but this guy was juiced. I ran to the rocks toward the lake and he sniped me centre of mass – good hit – red stomach. I got to the rock – lay down behind it AFAK'd up – Threw a Grenade over the top of the rock – I then peaked No eyes on him – 180'd and sprinted the 20m back towards where I started, (I figured he saw me, go to ground behind the rock and moved towards Emercom Camp to cut me off from heading towards the lumber mill). I moved around flanked the opposite way – White tanker- via Old Station and then around the whole map. Got like 4 Scav's, some good loot – and got out via outskirts for like 2000xp. Previously I would last maybe 90s and be done with like 50xp.
So this was an epiphany for me this week, i got into a situation which previously I would have died 100% of the time – but my thinking and reactions changed and I only realised afterwards that I am thinking more about "What they are doing" more than what I am doing….and it is paying off.
What was your Tarkov – Epihany moment?
