I don't usually bother with Ventures (except when I'm forced to for new questlines), so I hadn't played this one since it originally released and somehow didn't pick up on this at the time.
So, there's a point where Dennis calls Dire a good actor, and references his performance of "Dr. Blackwell, We Hardly Knew Ye". A lot of players may not realize this line actually has significance!
Dr. Blackwell was one of the original characters, back when the story was going to be centered around Ramirez's search for her family. She had a very dry and serious personality that clashed with RaY in a pretty entertaining way, but was retconned out of existence very early on and replaced with the Director. In other words, we hardly got a chance to know her!
The only trace of her left in the game is her picture being used for the female Doctor Lead Survivor.
