Revenant’s backstory makes no sense.

Each piece of lore or character building surrounding this character does not add up to a whole picture.
Prepare for a walk of text! (Also this is purely for discussion, nothing is presented as fact).

AGE –
The Season 4 launch video seems to imply that the last time he was human was in his late 20s early 30s, and that's how he remembers himself. The news story in the video suggests that Simulacrum tech is relatively new, possibly invented within the past decade at most. So that would give us a rough age of 40 during this time period, and since this event took place 25 years ago he would be roughly 65? But according to this Recent Twitter post he's somehow been at this for "centuries" implying more than one.
I guess we could say that his memories are unreliable, but that still doesn't explain why the news report implies the tech is recent.

APPEARANCE –
The launch trailer showed him as a young Caucasian blonde man, then there's the loading screens that show him looking a lot older with dark brown hair, but in banner pics he seems to have some sort of Asian appearance and a lot of Japanese related imagery.
While not something that can be directly related to physical appearance, his voice and dialogue in game sounds like someone who was more of a toughened mercenary than a pretty boy assassin.

ABILITIES –
All of his abilities do not relate to his back story. What division of Hammond robotics specializes in creating supernatural powers? His powers suggest more that a robot was possessed by some ancient Egyptian death god than something made from hard science.

To me it seems like his backstory was hastilly retconned to fit the Forge story and lead into the next champion, Loba.
I feel his personality seemed a lot more consistent when he was the leader of an undead army.
