Hi, I started playing like a year ago, but according to what I've seen, over the years, everyone seems to agree that the 279e is broken, but I haven't heard much about the 260.
The thing is, I've been inspecting them both on tanks.gg and yeah, the 279 has no lower plate, and really good armor, but a direct hit on the front plate with a gold round with as "little" as 300mm of pen, will go through, meanwhile the 260, has arguably better armor (if hit frontally) and almost non existant coupola, so you only need to hide the lower plate, that still has good enough arnor to bounce a hit or two. 279 side armor seems to be better tho.
But it doesn't end here, 260 can reach 69kmh on hard terrain with a basic turbo and field mods can make up for it's worse speed on medium and soft terrains, making it still pretty fast, the 279 is nowhere near the 260 speed, and then the 260 gun handling stats are also better.
I wanted to get the 279, but now I'm kinda more inclined towards the 260.
Maybe I'm still too much of a noob but, can someone explain to me why does the 279 get so much attention and hate but the 260 gets to fly under the radar?
