I hope Grand battles become an official game mode soon, because they're so amazing. I like the idea of having a huge map and a 30 vs 30 team layout, because that way artillery doesn't have such a strong influence on the game and there are a lot of opportunities in terms of positioning and play-making. Also, overpowered tanks aren't too impactful, because they can't possibly carry the whole team and there will be a lot of ways to counter them. Meanwhile, playing with underpowered tanks in Grand battles is more rewarding than playing them in Random battles, since there's a less chance to get bullied if you play passively.
In my opinion, Grand battles are better than Frontlines, because players can still carry Frontline games by playing broken premiums. The problem here is, that there are a lot more of them on tier VIII than on tier X. Also, there's no teamwork, since people don't care about dying because of the respawn feature. Frontlines use more toxic and unbalanced system overall, I think.
All in all, I quite enjoy Grand battles, because they're fairly balanced and fun. After all the toxicity that surrounds public matches, this is truly a breath of the fresh air for me.
What do you think about Grand battles? Do you think it's a good idea to make it an official game mode?
