I played for over a year on Xbox back in the day and had multiple tier Xs. I remember thinking the Jagdpanther was atrocious, later to find out I just did not have the skill set to correctly maneuver, utilize it's mobility, or have a true appreciation for it's long range, consistent accuracy. As I climbed, and played other tanks, I realized all of these factors really gave it so much more strength. This tank was like my awakening with the realization that alpha damage was only a small component to the game.
I recently returned to the game as a PC player with a newer account. I chose the German TD line to re-familiarize myself. I found myself doing the same thing: Shitting on this tank because of my own skill set. As I return to it, I am like wow…so much more damage and survivability with better peaking and flexibility with map navigation.
So, Jagdpanther has taught me twice now. I still have so much more to learn and practice, but figured I would share this. Anyone else had a similar rude awakening with a certain tank?
