Just a little musing on this topic.
I got the tank from the 2022 loot boxes, played some games in it using only AP and it didn't feel like anything special (it felt like playing a worse Skoda). Then a few days ago I said "screw it", loaded gold HE and checked if all the rage about this tank had meaning.
It did have meaning, it really did.
Being able to two-shot a same-tier heavy tank is silly, to say nothing of the dirty things that ammo can do against Tier 6-7 (against Tier 6 this tank is kind of like the old, pre-nerf KV-1S against Tier 4, perhaps worse because at least KV-1S had meh armor). Adding insult to injury, it's actually hard to bleed credits in this tank and a good match (not hard to achieve) will net a decent profit even on a loss.
I guess we should be thankful the techtree BZ line lacks gold HE and big guns, though that being a gimmick unique to a premium is also very scummy.
