There is no funny, I just want a refund.

Gonna start off by saying I'm probably gonna get downvoted into oblivion.

Man, I didn't know arty was so hated when I first started playing. I ground out my first line for the Conqueror GC, did another arty line, stopped my american at the M44 after I bounced off the m12, and started playing swedish mediums and TDs to have a pretty well rounded experience on WOT. I spent a TON of time and credits/money for premium time grinding out the Conqueror GC and the BC 155. Now? These tanks deal less than 1/3 their previous damage because their primary advantage was a good blast radius for their relative dispersion and accuracy.

Now, two of the 3 shell types have a 4/5 chance of doing 100 damage or less on a given shot because they're so likely to miss. They have less average damage than your typical leaf blower. Sure, you get lucky games, but this is by far the biggest nerf to an entire tank class. It's also the biggest buff to the biggest complainers; folks who own hull down TDs and Heavies. I'm not saying there aren't problems with arty. As an arty main I always hated stun; just let me do damage, keep it fair. But now I can't do either in any meaningful sense. The stuff I spent so much time grinding for now can't do damage.

A bunch of you are probably happy about this for a number of reasons, and I'm not gonna hold that against you. The one question I have is this: why was arty kept in the game? Why not just give us an opportunity to trade out our tanks? I would've happily traded in my now-useless ConqGC for a 4005. What would be the big deal? The only shell arty deals damage with is AP or heat now, and the only tank which can hit reliably with said alt shell is the Russian obj 261.

I'll ask again; if the only shell you're going to let me deal damage with is a direct hit shell, why not let me trade out my tank? I don't care whether I'm shooting idiots out in the open with a TD or an arty. Why not let me have a tank meant to actually hit with those shells?

tl;dr: I get the Chieftains and Russian lines are happy about their latest round of buffs. I just wish it didn't have to come at the expense of so much grinding. And if really does have to come at that expense, could we at least get trade-ins so it wasn't all a complete waste of time and money? I want the play the game same as you guys (like I said, I have meds and TDs I love). If I have to use direct fire shells, gimme a direct fire tank so we can all have fun.
