Why people care so much for stats on paper?

Don't you have a feeling, that popularity of XVM made the game worse in terms of atmosphere?

I see a lots of people writing 'Nice, lost game' when the game not even started. I see 'omg, tomato team'. If only everyone could show their playing skills in the actual battle..

Another thing I noticed is tier 1-4 battle absurds. Back in the days those were the most funny games, as everyone didn't care at all. Gold ammo was only for gold (boomer here). Like 30 people went middle to shoot each other.
These days? People are spamming gold ammo on those tiers trying to recover their WN8 to be treated better by others in higher tiers. Absurd.

Curious how many new players got a little bit down by such stats try-harders.

To clarify. Under no circumstance I disrespect people doing great playing their game.

I disrespect people who are playing low tiers on purpouse, loaded with gold ammo, abusing new players low skill to make their stats better.
