If you're over the age of 13, and logged in on an account, you should be able to use Free Chat again. If you're stuck using the chat wheel, check the following:
- Is your game up to date, do you have the most recent version installed? If you last updated the game when the Airship dropped, it's worth updating again – Innersloth has been rolling out bugfixes on an almost daily basis since then.
- Does your date of birth put you over the age of 13?
- Are you signed in on your account? (If you're not signed in, you play in "guest mode" and can only use the chat wheel)
- If you're signed in, are you able to change the chat type to "Free or Quick Chat"? (This option is found in the game settings, under the "Data" tab)
If you've gone through all these steps and you still find yourself stuck using the chat wheel, you're probably dealing with a bug. If that's the case, please comment on this post, and be sure to also mention which device you use and (if you use a smartphone or tablet) which model.
