Hello, Redditors! I have a GTX 1050ti, i7-4770, and 16GB of DDR3 1600mhz ram. Performance is crucial to me and lately, I have seen my fps completely falling and my ram usage super high for no reason causing me to restart every few raids and overall perform subpar in Tarkov. Well, I did two things and my ram usage, a big issue, was fixed! My ram usage literally got halved and when I closed the game there isn't a memory leak lasting until restart. Here's how I did it:
Step 1:
This video shows how to make your "standby" memory go away in a click. The auto setting didn't work for me but I just tap it every once in a while and it works great in lowering the standby memory. (Don't know what that is/how much you have at one time? Just check the video; personally when playing Tarkov my standby memory goes very high though I'm not sure how much of an impact on performance it has)
Step 2:
Reposition your RAM. (CRUCIAL STEP)
Yes, that's right. I have 4×4 ram sticks in my PC. I took every one of them out at put them in opposite positions from where they were before and magically the RAM issues just went away. Today was the day I tested and got results from this so I'm not sure if it'll last. Tell me how your attempt goes Redditors!
