LF: Epic Loot enthusiasts interested in creating a server concept

Valheim – Quick Tips to Start

Hey, I'd like to assemble a team to create a multiplayer Valheim experience through mods.

The vision is to incorporate Epic Loot in a different way similar to Diablo 2 with custom unique items and sets to facilitate pvp in a balanced way. The balance will be determined by players interested in playing pvp with epic loot. But this doesn't exclude players that enjoy the RNG experience without the pvp.

My vision is to have a server where players can farm in a PvE mode, create gear builds, and PvP in a controlled way. In this world, players have a choice in farming a safe way with pvp disabled or farming in riskier and more rewarding specified areas with pvp enabled.

The world itself will be divided by borders that have different properties related to PvE and PvP.

Players will be allowed to create bases and devote their time to building if they choose without any opportunity cost. There will be no offline raiding. There will be no online raiding normally. Base raiding will require mutual consent between defender and attacker.

I envision an economy based on gold and magic mats along with a player market with robust trade that involves a scarcity of resources. Progression will be soft-gated through a strong emphasis on gear.

This project involves a long-term time investment, theory crafting, discussion, looking at spreadsheets, gathering information, and multiple testing phases. As it's a long-term project, there is no rush in completing it by any deadline.

As it's in the earliest of stages, I'd like to gather players to talk about this conceptually, farm ideas and refine them, and come up with a solid concept before working on the configs, plugins, and any additional mods necessary to make this into reality.

What do you think?
