Padded Armor vs Fenris Set; and Crystal Battleaxe

fictional character

no, they don't live there, I used the console to do some battles

I use the Crystal Battleaxe as my primary and only melee weapon, I love axes. When the Fenris Set came out I was happy, I finally got clothes with a decent level of armor and not slowing me down. With the new armor and my axe, the slowdown was only 11%, which is normal. But anyway, this armor is just an "iron" level. And in a fight with really serious opponents, it will not be enough. I'm talking about a normal 1v1 fight. Speed doesn't give you much of an advantage because you still have to get close to hit. Here my ax has a second weak point – swing speed. More than three seconds for the first strike.

Of course, I also have Padded Armor that gives 100 armor. Twice as much as the Fenris Armor, but together with the ax they give a 30% slow, which is a lot. This is a big price. And even so, a strong opponent will drive you into the ground in a fair fight. And the ax will still have a lack of attack speed.

All I'm saying is, I hope the new biome will bring a new set of armor, maybe not as strong as Padded Armor, but 80-90 maybe? At the same time, it does not give such a slowdown. All the same, we are waiting for silk and new metal, why not?

While the look of Padded Armor is great, I hope future sets don't stray far from this aesthetic.

Maybe changes for two-handed axes? 20% slow is too much for a weapon that is essentially inferior to a dagger. Yes, it's a weapon and a shield at the same time. But, one-handed weapons are much more profitable and faster, and shields block better. With a one-handed weapon and a shield in full armor, you will only be slowed by 20%, and with a two-handed ax by 30%.

Maybe this could be solved with a new mead or berserk mushroom brew? This is an idea.

Thanks for reading.
