What's good, cheeki-breeks!
This may be very well known among some, but I figured it might be a sleeper tip to others.
Red Rebels have been slowly dropping in price since wipe, but as of last night, they were still sitting around 5.5m on the market. Is it worth it at that price point? Maybe, but it depends on how much you plan on running it to make back the money. If you're like me, you won't equip a new melee the rest of the wipe, assuming no other extraxt-specific weapons become available.
However, Jaeger offers a much kinder price point if you use his barter trade unlocked at LL3. It requires 15 propane tanks, 10 fuel conditioners, and 15 dry fuel. This might seem like a lot, but even if you haven't collected ANY of these items, it's still going to cost you ~1/3 of the price on the market. Based on my purchases last night, I'll break it down for you:
15 propane tanks @ 35k/ea = 525K
10 fuel conditioners @ 35k/ea = 350k
15 dry fuel @ 70k/ea = 1050k or 1.05 million
Add that up and you're paying 1,925,000 roubles, which is right around where I bought mine last wipe.
There's usually going to be a few fluctuations in your purchase process based on how many of each item get listed, but I figure +5% will give us a good average of what the total price can look like.
1.925m x 1.05 = 2,021,250 roubles
I'm not a mathematician but the numbers are pretty self explanatory. Best case, you pay about 1/3 of the market price. Worst case, you're still paying less than half the market price.
Obviously, you all will decide whether it's worth it or not for yourself. For me personally, the red rebel extracts are godsends for loot runs (especially reserve) and making that money back is super duper easy if you do a few good runs.
