So while I was playing I was thinking about how this sub started talking about skill loss being a problem and I came up with this.
Right now when you die ingame you lose your inventory and a percentage of your skills progress. Where you die it stands sort of a tombstone from where you can retrieve your items. And then for the skill progress there's nothing, you just lose it.
But what if when you die, you get to keep your inventory so you don't have to either grind another gear or do the naked run and instead it's the skill progress that we need to go and retrieve from the tombstone. Kind of like your spirit lies with your corpse and you recover your recent memories.
I don't know, it seems a fair mechanic to me, but maybe it could be tweaked so that you actually lose something when you die so death don't become meaningless. What do you guys think? Also sorry for my english if I made any mistakes!
