A warning about EDHM and EDHM_UI

I installed the mod just to see how I liked it. It asks for you to point to the location of your install and I pointed it only to my Epic install (I also have Steam and Frontier installs). The mod wasn't my cup of tea, so I decided to delete it and just go back to my original matrix colors from GraphicsConfiguration.xml. But now all I get is orange. I even deleted EDHM_UI and EDHM from my computer completely. It's not ignoring my GraphicsConfiguration.xml – it has somehow fundamentally altered the game in all instances. When I delete all content from GraphicsConfiguration.xml, the game will fail to launch. When I just remove my color matrix from GraphicsConfiguration.xml – the whole HUD turns a blue color. So it's paying attention to GraphicsConfiguration.xml, it's just rendering colors incorrectly since the mod install/uninstall.

But it's worse than that. Despite having deleted not only the mod inside the EDHM_UI – but actually having deleted EDHM_UI altogether, I now can only get the orange theme – and not just on the Epic account, but on the Steam and Frontier installations as well. I found this out because I actually deleted and reinstalled my Epic version of the game to try and fix things. I even installed it on a different hard drive. But even with a fresh install in a different location, I get the same result when I plug in my custom matrix values: orange. So I wondered about my other instances. Steam and Frontier – guess what? They all load orange too, despite my matrix colors being in place (I checked – my GraphicsConfiguration.xml is correct in both installations) like always and never having supposedly been touched by the mod.

EDHM_UI has essentially forced orange on me in all instances and I don't know what to do. I'm actually considering reinstalling Windows because of this. Just a warning for anyone who may be considering installing the mod.

If anyone has had a similar experience and can point me in the right direction, I'd love to know how to fix this and I will gladly alter this post to help others with a similar issue.

Edit: This is my matrix:

<Default>
    <LocalisationName>Standard</LocalisationName>
    <MatrixRed>0.5, 0.5, 1</MatrixRed>
    <MatrixGreen>0, 0.5, 0</MatrixGreen>
    <MatrixBlue>1, 0, 0</MatrixBlue>
</Default>

It's supposed to look like this.
