Violetta Mcneil, Senior Deck Officer aboard the YKE Drimo [V4W-L9N], has released a statement on behalf of YKE Technologies, regarding the recent success against the Kumo Council in the California Nebula:
"I don't think any of us here can put into words how thankful we all are. Numerous pilots from various Independent and Alliance-based factions showed up to provide support within the impacted systems. Mic Turner Base has been returned to the rightful owner, along with Redmarch Laboratory in an adjacent system. Despite the early portion of the election appearing skewed, we were able to coordinate with A.O.E personnel to understand exactly how to get to work in the area."
"It seems that unlike the Bubble, the Pleiades, or Witch-head, the California Nebula has a very limited variety of missions to take part in. Fortunately the tenacity of the arriving pilots was immeasurable, leading to decisive victories in key systems. Our credit balances will need to be replenished after this election, that is for sure!"
"One key point remains, diplomacy is integral to our survival as a species. This does not apply to just the Thargoids alone, but between Commanders as well. We were able to make contact in Open channels with opposing members, those who supported Kumo Council. Discussion was friendly, respectful, and insightful for both groups. Notably, the Black Widow squadron was diplomatic throughout the election, opting to discuss rather than engage. The election was a healthy competition between two ideals. For this reason, we would like to work with the Pilot's Federation to identify a region which would suite the Kumo Council's needs, where they can expand whilst avoiding direct expansion into historical space. A lot still remains unfinished in this department."
