As always, there are some commanders out there that get some sort of thrill by being as obnoxious as possible. With the war going on, and some of us trying to perform as many evac missions as possible, the latest fad seems to be landing on the one large pad on a rescue ship and just sitting there so no one with a large ship can use that one pad to complete missions.
HOW TO GET AROUND THIS: Just log off, log back in to solo play, land and turn in your mission, then log off and back in to open world play. It's annoying to have to do this, but it gets rid of the problem in the fastest way possible without all the issues of opening fire on a ship hogging the large pad.
I just wanted to make sure that newer commanders have a way out of this predicament until FDev figures out a way to discourage this troll behavior.
Remember…one large pad per megaship. If you land on it, drop into the ship immediately so someone else can use it next.
