Quick Tip: How Combat Contributes to the War.

I don't know about you, but I was curious what was the best way to help in the war. Are Hydras worth way more than Cyclopses? Are Scouts worth killing? I wonder about these things.

Fortunately, thanks to CMDR Yttrbio, who did some testing in otherwise undefended systems, we have a rough guideline on this. It's actually not strange at all. Basically, the bounty payouts are more or less directly proportionate to the impact kills have on the war.

So if 1 scout is worth 1 point, a clops is worth 10, a basi is worth 30, a dusa is worth about 60, and a Hydra is worth about 90.

The natural implication is, if you're alone and it takes you a long time to kill a higher-grade thargoid, you're probably better off focusing on the weaker enemies instead. You should also kill scouts whenever possible, since their quick kill speed can add up to be worth more than spending a lot of time on a harder enemy.

The one unexpected detail is that Winged Kills multiply the value by the number of players.

IE, killing a scout with a 4-player wing gives 4 points towards the war, rather than 1 point. So even if you're just playing in open, you should probably wing up to maximize your impact on the war!

Anyway, hopefully this helps you know how best to help! Glory to Mankind!
