So i am a bit of a hardware geek first of all, not going to deny that. Been a hobby for 25 years.
Anyway, i have been using a 12900k for 2 years, and been really happy with it. Been using a very tweaked set of DDR5 6000 Hynix ram and enjoyed good performance. Got a new kit with 14900k and DDR5 8000 ram the other day, and unfortunatly, one ram slot is dead in the new mainboard, so i have to run single channel until the new board arrives. I ran Tarkov and was expecting terrible performance with single channel, but oh my god was i wrong. This is only 1440p though, but very high settings. Live scav on Streets. No shooting except for when i died to a snek. Shooting and scoping always takes a huge hit on fps.
Can't wait for the board replacement to come.
