What elements (gameplay, atmosphere, visuals) do you think would make Tarkov feel like you are already there? Yes you are supposedly a trained PMC but I don't think you remember much from your past (e.g. examining all the weapons, common household items etc.)
For me, it would be the wildlife, gunshots causing the birds to fly off, Deers to scamper off etc.
Here is a scenario: You have been sent to the Wildlife Reserve (Woods) by Skier to put a Wi-Fi Camera at a position overlooking a certain Dockyard. You load in from the Factory side after finally escaping that hellhole. You look around, hit the FOB for some food, meds killing some bandits (scavs) on the way. Maybe you light one up and have a short meal and then you head to your target, moving through some trees.
As you move through the trees, you hear a bush next to you move, you turn and see the bush moving, you fire into it, thinking it to be an ambush. You hear alot of movement suddenly as you fire, birds flying off, noise of things running away from you. You hear a non human cry from the bush as you realize you just maimed a wild animal. It continues to cry out as it slowly dies. The earlier lively woods filled with birds, small animal noises is now deathly silent, all you hear now are the death throes of the poor animal and the ever present wind. Your adrenaline rush lowers and you move on, knowing that the enemies, if they are here, surely now know that someone is at your position. . .
