After 6+ years, I’m ready for a Tarkov-clone

After buying EFT in 2016, and being told that the finished game would come in 2018, I have been pretty patient. I have been here for change after change, complaint after complaint. And in this time we have gotten:

QoL improvements + more guns

1 large new map

1 small new map

3 small map additions (woods, shoreline, factory)

We are still MANY years before we see an open-world Tarkov. We are still MANY years before we see a campaign system. We are still probably a year or two off from receiving Streets, as well.

I get it, game creation takes awhile, especially from a smaller team like BSG. But I'm over it. The excitement came and went (many times over the years), and we have yet to still see any real progress to Tarkov's finished product. Realistically, all we are waiting around for now is for BSG to admit that they will be ending the Tarkov title soon (next few years) and transitioning to another project. But in the meantime, I encourage these other studios who seem to be producing content based on Tarkov's systems.

I'm not even excited for wipes anymore. It's just more of the same. Run through maps I have memorized like the back of my hand, to do the same 20 tasks, to max out traders, AND THEN…. wait for the next wipe. The lack of progress was fine for awhile when we thought we were play-testing an upcoming title, but as the years tick by, at this point we have to settle with "this is what we paid for, rather than the future of the project".

We love the game, just hate the wait.

Pre-Edit: For a fun laugh, I like to go over BSG's "Raid" videos to see how much money was sectioned off for a fun video project for…. no reason? If it was for hype, it was done too soon. If it was for marketing, it didn't really work (only the current [at the time] playerbase really appreciated them).
