Balance Council changes to 5 per category?

So I’d seen rumblings for a few days, assumed it was mostly rumour; or just an obscenely stupid hypothetical. It apparently now is all but confirmed (except not really, we have to find out by digging).

Apparently, again, this is so there is a more predictable “esport” environment for the upcoming tournament.

So to be clear.. the balance of the game at large, wants and desires of thousands of players, across many servers (and indeed; those that don’t communicate at all).. is irrelevant to pander to a handful of “pros” personal wants? Same pros who, if history for every “competitive” game ever made shows us will dip very shortly thereafter, being the first to abandon ship.

“It’s only for one period”. That wasn’t what was promised, or what we’re still currently told is the deal. We’re told democracy gets to dictate changes within a system that represents it. 60 changes per month made that possible. Decreased to 40 per month for no reason (without being communicated to us) was illogical but.. fine; that’s still room for democracy to work with (as I’m sure a pretty significant percentage of changes will be just undoing last councils choices; whether right or wrong).

20 changes total. In a game with well over a thousand cards. 500+ of which see little to no play and need adjustment? But don’t worry, they might revert it after pandering to the perceived elite. Until then.. doesn’t matter what the lifeblood, the community and playerbase at a large were promised, or would like.

Speaking in a Russian server, a Polish server and the official gwent server.. this isn’t what anyone wants, and people are furious. Red Lynx, I implore you to put the game and community at the forefront of your thoughts and make a decision that is good for all. To do otherwise is to tell the community they simply don’t matter, and you don’t care what the people that keep the game alive think.
