Banned from a second-hand PC

So my best friend has been a Call of Duty nerd for years. He finally decided that he wanted to try Tarkov last year and bought the game. He played maybe three raids and quit.

Fast forward to present day, he gets bored with modern warfare two and decided to come play Tarkov with me. I advised him to load up his game and update it, as well, as examining all the trader items. He said that he did that and wanted to try playing a game before I got off work.

He said he loaded into customs with the starter kit and wasn’t in there more than two minutes and he said his character just fell over and died and he received an error code. Tried logging back in and he got the dreaded permanently banned message at this time he calls me and I am trying to figure out if he had a vpn running for some reason, or had been battleeye before. He said no and I told him that computer must be hardware banned.

He messages the guy he got the computer from and after about 20 minutes the guy admit to cheating on several first person shooter games and said that was the reason he got rid of the PC.

Watch yourself out there people. Be careful logging in on something new. Don’t be like Kevin and lose your account for no fucking reason.
