Campaign Update Last night was crazy

Sorry it has been a minute, life got in the way a little.

My friend and I have made some real progress. We have all level 2 bronze armor and a mace, axe and buckler. I have become very comfortable with parry and can parry trolls and even managed to on the Elder. Before I tell you about last night though let me start with saying I have played several seeds and I have never been in a world with spawns this aggro.

So last night we decided it was time to go to the swamp and to find some iron. We made a karve and set out. After about 20 min of sailing we found a small swamp and I mean small. We passed it up and got attacked by the serpent… would have been no problem had I not accidentally jumped off the boat trying to get an angle to shoot it and then died and my friend was killed shortly after. So we make a new boat and set sail naked as the day we were born to go get our stuff back. This went very smooth and we got all our items back and the items for the other boat.

We decide to keep going as all real explorers do and found a much bigger swamp with some promise. We sailed around and found a meadows/BF on the other side and decided this would be the home to our portal. We landed on this new piece of land and when I tell you it went from excitement to mass pandemonium in about 10 seconds I am not kidding. It started with the dwarves nbd, the two of us can cut through them no problem. The army of 15 dwarves had a side party of 4 shaman and brought their 4 big brute brothers for muscle. This still wasn't too bad until the ground beneath us began to shake and a troll was now on us as well. I popped Eyk to keep my stamina up and with my friend distracting the troll I began sending all the other guys to the shadow realm. My friend made a miss step when he got too close to the water and fell in. The troll would make him pay dearly for that. Now on my own and without the portal up, it would be on me to finish the job. I turned on yodel boy walmart remix and went to town. Aside from a wraith wanting to come across the water, everything went smooth and I finished off all the threats and made a portal so my friend could get back here.

Crazy right? This isn't even the end lol. My friend was a little bummed and ready to get off for the night but we needed to build a base for the portal and slowly I could see him wanting to play more I fed into it and started exploring the new island and what do I find… a plains and we went out and explored it for at least an hour. It was my first time in the plains and I wasn't as prepared as my friend who had been here before but it was so much fun. We killed enough ds to make some arrows and enraged a whole fueling camp beserker and all trying to build a base there. We died so much lol but it was the most fun I have had in this game. We ended the night perched up on the roof of our newly expanded home with all of our gear so I consider ln a success.

TLDR: Guys go out on what seems to be a routine exploration run and it doesn't go as expected lol
