Stratz has some interesting graphs with the number of matches played in each region, over the years.
It seems dota 2 was played a lot in SE Asia and China in 2016-2017 but went down in popularity in the recent years.
Also, starting with 2022, there are more people playing Dota 2 in Europe than all the other regions combined.
I wonder what caused this. Did people from Asia moved to other games and gave up on dota?
