Some of you may not know it but Some of Dotas heroes are actually inspired by other games/anime/pop culture. Ill name a few that i know help mefill it out
Riki = Riki is short for Rikimaru He was the protagonist of a ps1 game Tenchu: Stealth Assasins
Lina = Lina is inspired by an anime series Slayers the main characters name is lina inverse, The anime protagonist even has spells name dragon salve and laguna blade Linas Q and R
Wraith King = Inspired The skeleton King from the blizzards Diablo Series, Even has the skill Reincarnation
Pudge = inspired by the butcher from Diblo series as well, The butcher from Diablo series also says the famous line "Ahh… Fresh meat!"
Brood mother = Her name in Dota 1 was Black Arachnia a reference to the spider transformer beast wars transformers
Omnislash = Juggs ultimate is actually a skill from Final Fantasy 7, CLoud Strifes final Limit break
