how do i fight a challenger in a cobra mk3

to note that you can not talk me down from this. i WILL dunk on this fucker and i just need to know if there's already tips on this or if i have to leroy jenkins this shit

SO there's this pirate i keep running into in this one system who flies a challenger, and like every time i go there i get pulled out of supercruise by it and have to get away. i'm a bounty hunter, not a miner or a freighter or anything, so it's not like i have cargo for taking, so idk what the deal is. it's rated competent, i'm mostly helpless but getting there, and i know it has missiles or torpedoes because my point defense turret always uses some ammo when it gets me, but idk what else it has. i have medium pulse lasers and small seeker missiles myself, and ~9.7 mil to play with. yes i know i could probably buy a new ship and use that, but i want the satisfaction of dunking on this guy with the cobra.
