The sim rig bug bit me pretty good over the last 8 months or so. Down to the final touches for the racing/flight rig. Need to install the shifter but I need to re-drill the holes because they dont line up quite right. I'm also working some ideas to get more travel out of the seat so I can set all the racing stuff farther forward to clear the flight stuff better. Right now my arm touches the flight stick when using the hand brake. The swinging monitor stand worked out great for games that dont support VR, or when I just dont feel like firing up VR stuff.
The only thing that kind of sucks, but doesnt really matter either, is I cant get out of the rig and walk around my ship like some people like to do. I could if I did wireless VR, but I find the performance lacking still.
If anyone is looking to make controls and such easier and really bump up immersion I highly recommend getting a quality HOTAS. Having everything at my fingertips is super nice, especially in VR. A well thought out button layout and everything just flows.
