Have you ever looked at the right panel and thought how nice it would be to have a massive ship? Maybe even a fleet carrier? Well what if I told you that this was possible, and you could get all this and more in just a day? You'd probably not believe me, but I'm here to tell you exactly how you can get insane money and help out in the war efforts simultaneously.
Recently Thargoid Spires have arrived and with them brings a hell of a load of Orthrus that patrol. Each of these pays 40mil per kill, and they don't even fight back! They just run at 115m/s away whilst you kill them and gain insane profit. And there's hundreds of these that come and go!
So you may be wondering, how do I get this money for myself? Well I'm here to help you. First of all, head to HIP 25654 and go to planet 1 B. Its 1.2kls away, and when you get within 1kls on the left panel will appear "Thargoid Spire Site". Fly down to this site in Open and you'll find instances full of people killing them, which means you won't even have to worry about being insufficient in dps! And if that wasn't enough, you can go to the AXI Private Group and have a completely clean experience with absolutely NO ganking and up to 1-2bil/hr! Just ensure you follow our rules. Now you'll also need a build. Luckily for you, I've got 2 low-medium cost, little-NO engineering, effective builds designed to be as user friendly as possible.
Krait mk2:
Vulture:
Something else to know is the krait mk2 build can be made entirely unengineered if you want that too, and the Vulture can bring engineered if you wish too.
Now, to get to these sites there's also a slight challenge which with the right easy tactics can be made an absolute cakewalk. You may be hyperdicted when jumping into the system, and if this happens you can simply hit silent running the moment you drop into normal space, and boost away. After a few seconds release and voila, the goid is only chasing you and will need to get within a few hundred metres to detect you and get angry. So just boost away and wait out the timer to jump again.
You may also be interdicted in supercruise. You can't simply silent run here, and so you must take another approach. Firstly, if it's only scouts you can just boost spam and hold up/down and right/left to avoid their bullets. If its an Interceptor, just boost straight forward and charge fsd. You'll exit Mass lock range at 5km. If it's a Hunter, turn backwards and blast with all your ax weapons.
Once you get to the spire some things must be noted. Only shoot orthrus that drop in from witchspace, as they will never fire and anti guardian field or shutdown field. In fact, they won't respond at all from you. However if the orthrus originated from the spire, do not shoot it as it will release agf and sdf. Stay out of there's way, too. These 2 types are commonly referred to as "inbound orthrus" and "outbound orthrus". In simple terms, kill inbound, avoid outbound. If you're in axi pg, ensure you join active target ops vc in the discord so you can communicate and even kill outbound with minimal impact. Also ensure you dock nearby to make sure if you die, you don't spawn on the other side of andromeda
Why kill at the spires you may also be asking? Well, aside from the money, any activities at a spire will progress the 10 systems furthest from the corresponding titan very quickly and so it'd the most effective method. It only brings said systems to 85 (excluding spires which can go to 100 if they're in the outer 10) and so after that other groups take the final 15% out. This is significant as around tarans we have a total of 7 systems to clear. Seven. This cycle we can clear the ENTIRE maelstrom bubble, but its gotten harder now and so that's why we from the AXI are asking YOU to help us out here.
