In light of recent events it is my belief that we will not be able to open diplomatic channels with the Thargoids even if we manage to translate their language. We have now attempted to commit xenocide against them twice or at least our actions could be interpreted that way. It is my firm belief that even if we could have negotiated with them the actions of Caleb Wycherley have thoroughly destroyed any chance of that for generations. And I don’t mean human generations I mean Thargoid generations which could be millions maybe even billions of years. And if we are at war with them for several hundred years I don’t think any human will want to negotiate with them. Long story short I don’t think that we will ever be able to negotiate with the Thargoids. We would do well to learn from our mistakes. If we ever encounter another living species we should NOT attack them. If they attack us then I feel that we are well within our rights to defend ourselves against that attacker. If we retaliate we may make enemies of an even more power species.
