Curious to see what makes people put the game down until next wipe.
For me, I’m mostly a PMC player. I don‘t usually scav unless im dead broke. Thats just how I like to play the game. I usually like grinding quests for XP and unlocks and got to a point where a lot of my quests were on lighthouse. I quickly found out that PMCing on lighthouse is complete cancer when you’re trying to do quests.
The scaving on the map is so broken that youre often fighting off player scavs within 5 minutes of the raid. You used to be able to hop on any map and assume “okay ive been in this raid 20 minutes, i should probably work on leaving before I start having to fight several player scavs”. It used to be a fun experience. Except now, players scavs on every map are completely dead except lighthouse. Where you literally fight 5+ player scavs every single raid youre in. Why risk my gear/loot against a horde of scavs with half broken AKs and a tourist backpack?
So many times, I would kill a pmc or 2, work through water treatment for quests, kill a few player scavs, but eventually die because it feels like the last level of halo reach where you have to “survive”. It completely sucks the fun out of the game for me and it ruins the game economy when you can spawn in as a player scav, vacuum a couple of raiders or pmc bodies, and leave with meta guns/ammo and tier 5 armor within 10 minutes. The risk/reward for this is so unbalanced, it took the fun out of killing geared players. Before you’d kill someone with a lvl. 5 armored rig and get hyped, now its like “well this loot is basically 5-10 minutes as a player scav on lighthouse.” The game made me feel like I was wasting my time PMCing because it wasn’t as efficient as scaving on lighthouse.
I know player scav mains will disagree with me completely, and thats okay, just curious to hear other peoples thoughts.
