May I interrupt the 24/7 stream of Battlepass posts to talk to you about tower gold?

Mod Skin Dota 2

Now I know it's almost a tradition here to flame the battlepass after release but may I interest you with the this: https://dota2.fandom.com/wiki/Buildings

Looking at the building bounty table, there's an additional reward for getting the last hit on a tower. Most of us know that already, but did you know how big is the possible range is for the last hit bounty? Look again. You can get as low as 75g and as high as 165g. That's a 90g difference. The upper bound is literally more than twice the lower boundary…

Now all last hits in the game award a variable amount of gold, but nothing this big. Melee creeps are 39-34, range creeps are 52-43, and the thing with creeps is you get a practically infinite amount of them in a game You'll last hit about a dozen range creeps in the laning phase alone so the rng evens out. But towers, we have a limited amount of towers. Only 3 on most tiers and you aren't gonna last hit every single one of them, so the variability of the last hit gold really hits

Imagine this, a pretty close game with mid match up that is for all intents and purposes pretty even. Eventually one player was able the t1 while the other was away, and the other eventually did the same. But one of them, Gaben decided, would get extra gold the equivalent of a stacked small camped or an assist to a core kill.

Lanes and games had been decided by smaller things… What if it happened to you? Or to your mid? Or to your favorite team in a tournament? What if it already did?

The table is even a little inaccurate because if you look at the patch notes the 90 gold swing is also present in higher tier towers, to variance doesn't shrink.

Now I'm confused why I dont find any posts or yt videos talking about this, is this not as big of a deal as I think it is? Isn't this too rng?
