So tonight, after a year long hiatus, I decided to get back to ED and even try out Odyssey. I thought to myself: "after a zillion updates and all the player feedback, they must've fixed all the bugs and crap that plagued the game back at release".
I proceeded to clear out my old save (1.5k hours in it, Horizons-only mostly – this mistake was on me) and set up a new CMDR, completed the tutorials and grabbed two planet-side missions in the beginning system.
I was supposed to get two ship schematics from two crash sites. The first one appeared only after a relog, in a container I previously emptied in the same instance/session, while the other did not appear at all, even after 6 relogs. I made sure I was at the right POIs and everything, opened every goddamn container and panel, and scanned everything I could. I then proceeded to uninstall the game for the last time.
How is it possible this is still happening, after so many months? Don't get me wrong, after 1500 hours I definitely got my fun and all, but if I were a new player, I would be so confused and frustrated…
