Optimizing VR on Horizons 4.0/Odyssey

Not including resolution settings on your headset/steam, what settings affect VR performance the most and would you recommend lowering/turning off? My current settings has everything on max except the following:

  1. Both shadow options set to medium

  2. Ambient Occlusion set to off

  3. AMD FidelityFX set to on and sharpness slider all the way to the right. (Not FSR 1.0 as I find it makes things way too blurry for my liking)

Other notable options:
– MSAA
– SS and HMD set to 1.0
– Terrain Checkerboarding set to off
– Blur and Bloom set to off

I have all other settings set to Ultra because in my testing I couldn’t find any noticeable increase in fps by lowering them although I admit I didn’t test every possible combination and may have missed something important. With these settings, I maintain 90fps everywhere except in RES and stations.

One last thing, there are jaggies everywhere, especially noticeable on the hood of my Anaconda. It seems to be worse than 3.8 because I noticed it immediately even with MSAA on. Is there any way to mitigate this?

I’m using an Oculus Quest 2 with a 5900X and RTX 3080 while running native resolution settings in Oculus and SteamVR.
