Saint Gregory and Revven’s Treasure feel Klunky

Disclaimer: First day of patch. I could be doing it wrong.

I’ve been testing the new SY additions all day today and I have to say, they feel a bit underwhelming.

Saint Gregory:
First form feels good if you can swarm (and keep) bodies on the board. Not always possible these days with all the crazy SK and NR control decks. Even then, the other new cards wildly outshine poor old Gregory.

The generated coins feel wasted with Congregation so I tried with Off the Books and Pirates Cove. He still feels rickety in both those.

His Second form feels ok at times, but it often feels more like a more expensive Dies Arae than anything. In short Saint Gregory feels far more setup-dependent and conditional than the other Faction cards. Maybe because the intended firesworn archetype itself feels a bit powercrept? It definitely smells tooooo expensive at 14.

Revven’s Treasures:
Straight up Klunky man. For 12 Provisions, you basically get a strange artifact version of ShadyVendor/TaxCollector (without the bodies, only if you build your deck just right). Feels superfluous in crime decks, and feels out of place in Jackpot decks where overprofiting is a thing, as you don’t really run crimes there do you? It’s a strange 12 Provision artifact that will probably lose out to Candle and ShadyVendor on most days.

That’s my take.
Thoughts?
