Solo is unfair?

Bones + Beech seeds = Chance of Birch Tree?

Anybody else feel that playing solo is just not fair at all?

I’ve been playing for the last few days, and the most annoying thing is becoming completely helpless after losing all my good gear and food, and it doesn’t help at all when you’re stuck in a biome like the Black Forest, and the nearest Meadows is 20 minute by foot.

I feel like I’ve run into a dead end, as it’s very difficult to make progress now. The biomes in my world are so close together that I could have a group of draugrs, greydwarves, and giant flies all chasing me at the same time, and it’s near impossible to get my lost items. Furthermore, when I do get to my grave, I usually tap A with an xbox controller and I regain everything, but there’s a weird glitch that prevents me from doing so. The frustration from this is enough to make me just want to quit altogether.

And I know this game is intended more for multiplayer, so perhaps I should consider playing something else. Minecraft at least wasn’t as much of a grind, so losing stuff didn’t feel like the end. It’s like the game becomes unforgiving after you start to make progress.

It’s sad because I was really enjoying the game so far, the visuals and the boss fights are brilliant, but I think I’m starting to realise that the game is just not for me.
