Story Time

This happened to me a few weeks ago, buckle up.

Just defeated the elder for the first time.

His Spawn was the furthest away from the start I had ever been.

I go back through my portal to recover items from dying so many times.

Run into a two star boar.

I didnt know much about the game but I know I should tame this bitch.

Start walking back with the boar following.

So slow, already know itll be well into the night by the time I get home.

Swim across the first river. Get to the next shore and theres another two star boar.

Fucking jackpot.

Continue the journey back, two two star boars in toe

Have the fight off greydwarves and other boars while not accidentally hurting two star boars.

Since I already have to walk back, might as well destroy the bee hives i marked on the map on the way.

I destroy the first.

Forgot that they get angry and attack if youre too close.

Both boars are attacked. Watch one die. The other is left at half health

Less learned, no more stops on the way back.

I figure theres still some way to breed two star boars with just the one (confirmed later)

Night hits, but Im finally back home with a two star boar.

Lure boar into the gates, but afterwards keeps get frightened from the torches in my base.

Everytime he runs away from me, i lose him in the dark

I also see that a greydwarf spawned inside my fucking pen and is killing my other boars.

Time to prioritize.

No stars, no fucks. I can replace the others but not this two star.

Try to wrangle this boar as it keeps disappearing into the night, and listen to no star boars die in the background

Finally manage to pen him in. Go kill the greydwarves.

One regular boar managed to survive.

Sweet, just need to tame two star boar and im golden.

Two star was penned far away from the main pen. Figure Ill just move him after hes tamed.

Que taming boar grind.

On the second day, the smell of the swamp fills my base for the first time.

Oh just skeletons? Not bad.

What the fuck are draugr

Theyre so strong

Archers can two shot me

So many deaths

Stress level 10

Manage to clear the outside of my base.

Come back in the gates

Skeletons manage to FUCKING SPAWN IN THE PEN AGAIN
TAMED NO STAR IS DEAD

God damn it

Kill the skeletons

Event ends

Two star boar is unharmed, so were still good.

I can always find another no star.

Next day, feed the two star boar. Finally tamed.

I move him to the main pen and search for another boar.

Find and bring back another no star boar.

Boar taming grind. Just do stuff around my base while waiting for the boar to become tame.

Takes a few days, but no star is now tamed.

Fucking finally, time to star breeding two stars.

First child is no star, so I kill it. Second child is two star

Two fucking star little piggy yall

So stoked. Just got to wait for this little dude to grow up.

Next day I wake to the ground shaking

So many emotions. Fear, Anger, Frustration.

Try to stay calm as I leave my house.

Just one troll. Spawned outside my base.

No problem, but not taking chances.

I leave the base, and lure the troll far, far away from my boars

Use all my arrows, die once, return and finish off troll.

Get my stuff back,l and return to base.

And theres where I see it.

Troll spawned in my base

Worst nightmare. The only thing protecting my boars is the fucking wooden fence

Try to lure Troll out of the base.

AI priortizes the boars

WTF Valheim

Trolls Club comes down.

Fence crumbs

Hear boar die

Get close and still see the two full grown boars.

Piggy died but we can make another.

Troll is positioned right up against the pen where my boars.

I get close to the troll and back up to try to lure it away.

As soon as I step back the troll targets the boars again.

My only hope is to fight wildly.

Trolls Club comes down. I died

Respawn and run straight to the troll again.

Hear boar dies.

Somehow its just the no star boar.

Fight for my fucking life.

Troll swipes and kills me.

Camera follows my tombstone as it flies back.

Trolls Club come down again, and I hear the boar die.

Killed the troll afterward, but the boar was already gone. After that, I searched to see if there was an easy way to get a two star again. Only then did I realize how fucking rare they were. I thought I would just rage quit at that point, but managed to pick it up again. Havent found a two star since
