- Epic Games puts a portion of their monthly budget into marketing for STW.
- Advertisements and such are executed, drawing BR players into trying STW.
- A portion of those players enjoy the game, and Epic Games does well in additional profits.
- Save all of the profits from starter-pack purchases into a bigger budget pool for STW marketing.
- Bigger advertisements, feature STW elements in BR and UEFN where necessary.
- More advertisements equals more interest. More interest equals more profit.
- After a while, invest into hiring employees for community moderation and QA support.
- STW sees the same attention and support from the developers as BR does, but doesn't get as much content and additions as BR… yet.
- If at any point STW does well and surpasses BR because of shifts in player interests, they can zone-in on the opportunity and dwell into proper content updates and exciting features for STW that slowly kick the game in a never-before seen popularity state.
- The game at this point is revived, but there's more to be done… such as clearing out pesky players, ironing bugs, and ensuring the game does well consistently and doesn't damage the company or the playerbase. The game can either stay P2P or F2P, but it must be worth players getting the game and for the company to make profits.
If the company listened, and we were in a perfect world… this is how I see things playing out, but alas.
