The Real Biggest Flaw of Gwent is Constantly Disregarding the Opinions of its Playerbase

Gwent has a lot of problems, we all know that to be true. The mentality of "fun before balance" leads to some design choices that are, more often than not, neither. The fact that balance patches only come once a month makes the game boring and repetitive in times when only a few good cards dominate the meta. And the increasing staleness of the game has lead to a massive exodus of some of the best known Gwent YouTubers and streamers.

But why does it sometimes take them multiple patches until they fix something that people constantly say is broken? I believe their biggest problem, the root of all their problems in that regard is the dismissal of criticism. I have seen time and time again members of the Gwent team dismiss what the community has to say regarding any given meta, specially when it comes to this subreddit, labeling Redditors as "doomsayers" and utterly disregarding any genuine criticism of the game. That mentality has even slipped into the very community itself, to the point where, for every two or three posts criticising the meta, there is one dismissing said criticism, generally saying that the devs are doing their best, that things have been worse before, and that they will fix it all eventually.

Defending one's point of view is valid, but when there is clearly a vocal majority that has been unhappy with something, that shouldn't be continuously disregarded. We saw that with Lockdown, with Alumni, with Tunnel Drill, with Jackpot, etc. It takes them multiple patches to adress issues that obviously need adressing. And, if they trully believed those issues didn't really need adressing, those nerfs wouldn't have come at all: and they do, but only after people have already gotten increadibly frustrated for months! We all know that that is the reason why many streamers have been starting to dislike the game and to end up leaving it altogether.

My point is simply (to sum it all up): the Gwent development team shouldn't dismiss the opinion of it's fanbase, namely that of Reddit. There seems to be a mentality of stubbornness in the game's development that has never really been changed or even addressed. This needs to change.
