Thoughts on interchange, from an EX-interchange main.

Once regarded as the most contested map… where HEAVY PvP ruled the hotspots and the gigachads playground. When you can rush techstores and be immediately greeted with a fight that seemly lasted forever with third, fourth, and fifth parties… all duking it out over the precious high tier loot…

… is now a fucking joke. The map has downgraded so much, that people are actually recommending it as an easy map to learn for new players. People hide in the shadows, scared of their own footsteps. Scared of a boss that seemingly NEVER spawns, but gives you no chance to fight if you unluckily stumble across him.

After doing all the interchange tasks, the only thing that ever brings me back are dailies and weeklies that make me survive this god forsaken map. My ultramed key is down to 25/100 uses and I’ve found ONE ledx and ONE oscope. My kiba keys are somewhere in the 40s and 8/10 times I don’t even pick anything up inside. I’ve fought and killed Killa ONCE, by pure luck because I spotted him 10m away and he didn’t instantly aggro me and shove his RPK up my ass where I’m coughing up BT ammo. All the other times(which I can count encounters on one hand) I was met with the quick extract option without fully comprehending what was going on until I saw, “Killed by Killa”.

I’ve been through many saferoom keys and I don’t think I’ve ever profited from one, even now that they are 300k. I can go loot food spawns in goshan and profit more on food items than hitting ultramed, kiba, and saferoom combined in a single raid. I can even sprint from spawn and hit all of these rooms with little to no resistance as most PMCs just scurry around the dark areas of the map.

Once one of my favorite maps, now a shell of its former self.

TL;DR Interchange dynamic loot nerfed everything great about it and now as an ex-interchange main I wouldn’t touch it unless I’m forced by daily/weekly.
