To anyone who uninstalled, when did you start playing and how many hours did you have?

Just posting to sate my curiosity and share my own numbers.

I'll preface this by saying that I really, really like Tarkov, or at least what it's supposed to be. I've been FAR more permissive of BSGs missteps than most on this subreddit, and have recruited half a dozen of my friends to play. I was promoting the game in my social circle because I liked it to much.

Additionally, I have 13.5 TB of storage on my PC and I keep EVERY game installed. Every game. I like to be available to play a game with a friend, even if I haven't launched it in ages, because nothing sucks more than wanting to play something and having to download it. Storage is cheap, so I just decided to never have that issue. All this to say, I don't take uninstalling a game lightly, and have generally thought doing so to be pointlessly symbolic. (We've all had a friend uninstall their multiplayer game of choice only to come back before long.)

But I still uninstalled.

What sucks is that I think the vision and intention of the game is great, and I've spent a high concentration of time playing in the short time that I've had it, so much that I even got Kappa 2 wipes in a row (admittedly when it was more accessible than it is now).

I started in January 2020 and uninstalled when <redacted> came out. I had 2100+ hours.

I've been playing CSGO since 2013 and I have 4078 hours and that's truly my favorite game. I spent half the hours I've spent playing CS over the last TEN YEARS playing Tarkov in only 3. So believe me when I tell you that I like(d) the game.

And yet, here we are. Perhaps I'm being a little dramatic, but it sucks. We pour lots of time into our hobby to get good at it or simply to relax or socialize with our friends, and it's gross to me that it's been demonstrated to be in such a state.

What are you hours and what would make you come back?
