Hello all, quick question.
When using turrets, know there's a kind of cap on the distance it will target, even with long range mods. But does anyone know if the short range mod reduces targeting range for the turrets?
Say for giggles I wanted to use a couple beams with thermal vent. If I put short range on them would that bring the targeting range closer to the ship to "IN THEORY" increase the accuracy and thus the heat dissipation? Or just in general to keep other laser turrets at a shorter range to keep them from firing at the pitiful falloff damage range?
Or also for multi cannons to keep them from wasting ammo at range.
Anyone know off hand? Wont be able to play for a few days so I figured I'd ask and maybe find out before I waste some mats in testing.
