Why the new updates are a blessing and a curse

I'm what I'd call a very good player. If I had two other people like me, I could probably make Predator ranking each season. In season 5, I played with randoms like 99 percent of the time and I usually didn't win just because of the nature of the game. Still, I would get dozens of wins just playing with random people, even though most of them weren't very good. This season, for whatever reason, I'm steamrolling guys easily. I'm using the same guns as last season, which are not energy guns and which are not the R99, and I'm straight shittin on everyone I encounter in a 1 v 1.

The only chance I have had of losing has been if I don't see them first and they have a devotion or a volt. Even in like half of these, I'm able to use superior positioning, reaction-time, and gun-skill, to outgun the other guy almost every time. Even been killing whole teams doing this. There is a definite change in something about the gameplay. I don't know if it's the lower TTK or the lower shields but I'm winning like every 3rd game now, playing casually and still with randoms. Can see this maybe getting old in like a week or something. Has anyone else noticed their gameplay drastically improving so far this season? If so, do you think you'll play less of the game because of it?
