Change in Subreddit Policy

Lately, us mods have been rather aggressive in removing posts related to the Black Market, which many of you understandably find quite disagreeable.

In that thread, I ate shit as I tried defending our actions. I explained our reasoning there, but that's not what this post is about.

We want to strike a better balance between quality and quantity. At the same time, we want to keep the community more involved in deciding how it is run. We think as a starting point, the following is acceptable:

  1. Black Market memes will no longer be removed. We think this is one of the best ways of expressing player sentiment, and won't restrict it.
  2. When it comes to specific topics, such as announcing what the next tank is or discussing a specific issue, the first person to post wins. Any subsequent posts on the exact same topic will be removed.
  3. Although we'll keep posting them, we won't force the megathread on anyone.

As we adopt this new policy, we are also seeking further feedback on it. Are there changes you'd make to this? Do you prefer the zero-filtering approach, readability be damned? Or is this a sane middle ground? Let us know!
