hi, im a low diamond player in league, i picked up wot back again after a 6 year break, and im taking it semi-seriously (for ranked/clan wars).
what ive noticed since i rejoined wot:
- follow the lemming train, going on a flank by yourself to try to defend it usually results in a lose, try to keep the lemming train from stalling and you can cheese a free win.
- camping = lose – – – unless this is competitive play (pro play, or clan wars) if your team sits around without being pro active, you will usually result in a lose. (you might exclude this from gold elo, but still relevant)
- dont try to play non-meta stuff just for your ego, stick to the meta. I sold my old t62a from when tier 10 meds were introduced in favour of the 430u and ive seen a massive difference in my winrate.
- flame… helpfully. ping your team helpfully, also ping them if they camp. dont ever just start using swear words and go full agro, angry team mates arent useful.
- ask arty (politely) to pre aim in sections before you spot
- dont cry because of XVM, even if you see a 20% win chance, thats still a 20% chance you will get another win, dont give up so easily.
bonus: always let it go when you start losing
no, the game deosnt hate you. if you lose 20 games in a row, maybe its you – not everyone else.
learn to let it go and try again when you arent tilted sideways.
if you have anything else to add, im open – havent played in a long time, would love to hear some other tips
