I purchased the Large Boxes at the beginning of day 1 of the Holiday Ops event with the same intent as previous years, to be able to quickly increase the credit booster percentage and maximize the credit earning during the Holiday Ops event. I expected this to happen since the website clearly stated each Large Box contained a non-duplicate decoration at a 100% Drop Chance per box. After completing this purchase and opening the boxes, I realized I received fewer than 50 unique decorations. I submitted a ticket to make sure wargaming (WG) was aware of this apparent glitch and assumed this mistake in the game would be corrected. At present as of the time of this original posting 2:45pm ET WG has revised the advertisement page and changed the non-duplicate decoration statement removing the Non-Duplicate decoration line. It is now clear to me that this was not a glitch in the game, and instead a mistake in Wargaming’s advertising which is leading confusion to the WOT community.
This is a critical change to the dynamic of the Large Box and decoration mechanic that was advertised for the past few days. The value of purchasing Large Box’s for earning credits is significantly reduced, and until the time stamp WG revised the website, counts as false advertising. I encourage anyone who purchased a box earlier today prior to the change in the website posting to submit a ticket requesting for the correct item as advertised, or a refund.
