I adore this tank. It’s my go to tank when I want to do well or just have fun. My main setup is IRM, Hardening, and Turbo, my second is Rammer, Vents, and Turbo. I only use the second setup if I feel like I can’t get in a good knife fighting position, which is rare. I have a 100% crew but no BIA yet and my commander has 6th sense. I have all the field mods and I use a small repair kit, small med kit, and RSG.
Firepower: The base DPM and non-Prem pen is nice. Sure the alpha damage is low for a tier VII TD, but this tank plays more like a heavium (not to mention that the AT 7 shares similar alpha but is still great). Dispersion, especially with IRM, feels reliable but not fantastic. Accuracy can be greatly improved from base, but doesn’t usually matter too much. The gun arc works fine for the armor layout and giving it too much more would make the tank too powerful IMO.
Mobility: Slap a Turbo and RSG and you’ll be pulling 58 on most flat terrain. Traverse didn’t feel great at first, and it’s really important for this tank. Once I got an IRM, it felt nice tho.
Survivability: This is what this line and tank are known for. It’s so nice. Hide your lower plate and wiggle and most people don’t know what to do.
Concealment: Nothing remarkable at first glance. If you bump it up, it can be nice.
View Range: Average tier VII TD VR, not great. But that shouldn’t really matter.
Overall, this tank is amazing and so much fun in CQC. It’s versatile enough to be useful even when bottom tier and is a monster when it is top tier. How do y’all feel about the SU-100M1?
