The direction Wargaming seems to be taking

With the community beings shaking after the Prog nerf, I think it would be interesting to compare WOT with another game, which in his time, took the same path: FIFA. Sorry if it's too long.

FIFA, unlike WOT, has a big advantage : the players have to buy it every year, and for some reasons, they do it.

But let's see what's inside WOT since some months and how both compare.

-We have recently saw the same kind of stuff : overmeta tanks throw in the battle, destroying the matchmaking and creating a big gap between the majority of players (who owns/don't own these tanks).

-The nerf of some very liked tanks, for non reasons
80% of the time

-The apparition of tanks who are good at everything, without any big flaws or big qualities (that's important)

-The apparition of hazard/boxes mechanics

-The cost increase of tanks like Lion, to reduces
ressources in game.

In FIFA Ultimate team, it's the same. No more very specific cards, just meta card, overpowered and overpriced, who get nerfed some weeks later.
Acceptance from the player to spend their money on things that are not guaranteed (packs), or just too expensive (big SBCs).

The staregy of Wargaming is the same as EA. Creating a dopamine effect, by releasing meta tanks, then nerfing them, then releasing new meta tanks…
You might ask why they nerf very popular tanks :

-Because a lot of people play them, so nerfing them will hurt a lot of players, who wouldn't never spend on another tank if there favorite one was good

-To legitimate the arrival of the next meta one (0 interest in having 500 meta tanks obv)
The game is moving slowly but surely far away from what he was at his debut :

-A strategy game, with tanks who were both incredibly good on their qualities and vulnerable when their flaws were exposed by the ennemies (JPE100 is a good example).
This kind of very strategic approach isn't liked by the players who pay a lot of money in game (the same people who spend thousands on FIFA, Fortnite etc..) and every discussion on this sub about strategy seems to go in that direction (chat removed, ppl who say you shouldn't give advice in the chat, who say you shouldn't be helped/help the others…).

This game is going in a bad direction for the future, and if we don't want it to end like FIFA, we have to have higher standards for ourselves and for the game.

The new arrivals in term of gameplay (mechanics, night games, dynamic waters…) are the same as in FIFA : nothing more than colorful cakes to calm us. The game should be rebalanced, not paint in another color. It might be fun, but a company like Wargaming should give us things like that way more often.
Sorry if it was too long, and I hope we won't lose the game definitely by 2 years.
