USA WW2 M4 based Autoloader T22E1

T22E1

During WW2, the USA built and tested an autoloader version of the M4 w/75mm (APCR and APHE rounds – Note: not HEAT or standard AP). Rate of fire was 20 rounds a minute. The idea was to reduce the number of crew members and turret size, but the military decided not to change the production of the regular M4 Sherman. The T22E1 also had a modified HVSS suspension allowing great maneuverability. It had a 3-man crew.

It was BUILT and tested, so it's not a concept or just drawings.

It'd make a nice addition to WoT.
